We are currently looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist - End User Services. The person appointed will be the internal subject matter expert (SME) for End-User IT Services and will supervise outsourced service providers in the delivery of those services to the Seqirus business. These will include:

- End-user computing

- Hardware standards, covering: PC, Mobile phone, Tablet, Printing, etc.

- PC image management

- Application packaging

- Client patch management

- Automation / Scripting

- Directory Services

- Mobile Device Management

- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

- Anti-malware

S/he will act as an escalation point for complex issues and drive them to resolution. S/he will also manage the lifecycle of IT services, ensuring they are secure, resilient and scalable.

Accountabilities include:

Maintaining secure, resilient and scalable IT services for the business, including:

Ensuring infrastructure is secured against hacking attacks, unauthorized access and malicious programs (malware).

Ensuring systems and system data have complete and proven recovery mechanisms (backups/restore/archival).

Ensuring infrastructure has an appropriate level of resilience depending on its business use.

Ensuring infrastructure performance and capacity is (at least) adequate for the business needs.

Ensuring services comply with the group IT security policy, IT business continuity plan and quality management framework

Contributing to the Shared Services Roadmap, defining the future infrastructure and operational IT needs of the businesses, including:

Ensuring roadmaps for all services are simple, transparent and communicated regularly to all stakeholders and deliver the capacity to meet the growing demands of the business.

Analysing and advise on the expected benefits, impacts, opportunities, etc. of any proposed initiative.

Developing plans to retire or replace obsolete technology as part of the service lifecycle.

Working closely with the Enterprise Architect and IT Infrastructure Engineering team in the development of the Technology Roadmap.

Acting as technical resource on IT projects, including:

Designing new infrastructure services in line with standards and strategy defined by the Enterprise Architect and Infrastructure Engineering teams.

Building the infrastructure to specification and lead the transition into operational support according to the operational acceptance criteria.

Ensuring all system source and documentation is kept up-to-date, safely stored, appropriately secured and organized.

Managing the service life-cycle for shared End-User IT services, including:

Defining maintenance schedules.

Managing the implementation of changes.

Managing infrastructure capacity.

Developing plans for continuous service improvement.

Managing the retirement and replacement of old technology.

Providing Level 3 operational support on incidents and owns problems related to the shared IT services, including:

Providing regular updates to the Service Delivery team on the status of open incidents and problems.

Recommending and approving any changes that are required to resolve ongoing problems.

Managing change according to established change control procedures and working closely with the Service Delivery team on scheduling their release into production environments in-line with the change management process

Candidate Profile:

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

Significant experience in a similar SME role with specific responsibility for enterprise-wide End User IT Services

Exposure to a highly regulated IT environment and/or good documentation culture, including formal change management processes

Experience operating with outsourced service providers in an international context

Strong communication and problem analysis skills, initiative, results focus, commitment to self-development, adaptability and flexibility, and a global perspective.

Strong time management and organizational skills

A rigorous approach with well-developed professional discipline and a commitment to ensuring good documentation

Preferred:

Microsoft certified (e.g. MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MCTS)

Pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience and GAMP training / qualifications

Essential technical expertise:

Microsoft SCCM - expert level

Active Directory - expert level

Anti-Malware

Preferred technical expertise:

Microsoft PKI

Windows Intune

Active Directory audit tools

Azure Advanced Active Directory

Symantec Threat Protection
