Thorn SDS provides specialist consultancy and managed services into the European Space and Defence marketplace. Our teams of highly skilled engineers and technicians deliver critical services to our clients, often embedded within their core operational areas.

We are looking for two keen and knowledgeable IT Engineers who would like to work in a fast paced, operational environment where they will be exposed to the challenges and opportunities afforded by working within the defence sector.

We are recruiting for one Core Engineer to be based on our customer site in Farnborough and one Local Engineer to be primarily based at our Head Office in Alton with time spent at Farnborough and other local customer sites.

Candidates will be representing the company and as such should be confident communicators with a desire to learn and quickly develop their skill-set. Applicants for both roles should have a good education and a level of experience in the following areas:

Windows Server, Linux, Networking, VLANS/Routing, Cabling, Firewalls, Basic Scripting, Hardware, MS Office, Virtual Servers.

Due to the security restrictions of a supported program, all applicants must exclusively hold a UK passport and must be prepared to undergo Security Clearance. As travelling is required by both roles all candidates must have a current driving licence and use of their own vehicle.
