DevOps Engineer (Contract)

My client is a global household name in electronic components and consumer electronics looking for a DevOps Engineer to deploy/develop tools and develop support software for their range of wireless chips.

The engineer will be expected to work as part of the team in supporting the current systems.

The role will be reporting to the DevOps-Apps Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

* Supporting our current systems

* Database management support

* Git and Gerrit system support

* Migration of an existing legacy bug tracking system to Jira

* Maintenance and writing of accompanying documentation

Required Skills:

* Degree (or equivalent qualification/ experience) in maths/science/software/electronics

* Experience of the Python scripting language

* Linux - RedHat and Ubuntu

* Databases - MySQL and Postgres

Desired Skills:

* Knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence

* Knowledge of Git
