Salary - £28,337 - £30,295

Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes

Full time, part time and flexible working patterns will be considered.

Your skills will keep us ahead of the curve.

And your knowledge will protect customers from any curveballs.

You always want to improve, develop and evolve - both yourself, and tech. And it’s this kind of proactive, forward-thinking attitude that we need at HMGCC. It means you’ll keep us ahead of the curve - all while designing secure communications systems for HM Government in the UK and abroad.

The role

Enthusiastic and bright, you’ll become a valued member of our talented team. With an infectious passion for software, you’ll develop, test and maintain the limits of software - constantly keeping us one step ahead. As part of this, you’ll get involved with a range of complex projects - challenging yourself and advancing your expertise. It’s about verifying designs, providing product support, and investigating reported defects. With a genuine interest in computing, you’ll take advantage of top-class technical training programmes and on-the-job-development.

Your profile

At a graduate level, you’ll have at least a 2.1 degree (Bachelors or Masters) in a relevant discipline.

At a junior level, you’ll have practical experience in industrial, commercial or academic sectors.

You’ll be able to design, develop and test software in one or more of: C, C++, C# and Java.

You’ll have experience of developing one or more of: Windows, Linux, macOS or Android.

Ideally, you’ll have the ability to reason about the performance of different data structures and algorithms. It would also be an advantage if you have scripting skills such as Python, PowerShell, Perl or Bash.

Rewards

In addition to getting your career off to the best start, you can look forward to a great rewards package and a welcoming, modern workplace that has a cafe, gym and nursery.
