The SharePoint Architect role sits in the technical field team providing direct pre-sales technical support for all new business, support for channel partners, while also increasing product adoption within existing customers. Working within the team and ensuring customer satisfaction is paramount.

Ideal Candidate

Your strong technical knowledge and experience of enterprise virtualisation and storage infrastructures means that you can interact with multiple contacts within in support of overall sales and client management efforts.

Ability to communicate and build relationships with a diverse range of personnel including sales, product management, marketing, service delivery and support teams.

Responsibilities

- Define solutions in conjunction with the Sales team to support customer and partner business requirements and future strategies across all verticals.

- Deliver technical messaging and interactive demonstrations.

- Qualify sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements, competition and decision making process.

- Provide consultancy and guidance on customer infrastructure solutions leveraging products and services.

- Plan and deliver successful Proof of Concept engagements with customers and partners.

- Evangelise through events, conferences and user groups as well as blogging and other social media.

Skills & Requirements

- Experience in customer-facing positions as an SE/Architect/Consultant with technical presales experience.

- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal communication and a team ethic.

- Strong design, implementation and troubleshooting experience in server virtualisation, with a focus on VMware and/or XenServer.

- Strong technical experience with server hardware and storage technologies, either hardware or software solutions.

- General knowledge of VDI infrastructure components, specifically VMware and Citrix

- Industry recognised virtualisation certifications are essential, examples include - VCP VCAP VCIX VCDX CCP-V CCE-V CTP

- Additional positive skills include; Linux-based command line, scripting (bash, PowerShell), and virtualised server workloads such as Exchange, Database, SharePoint, and BigData.
