At MI5, we protect the UK from threats to national security. We work against everything from terrorism and espionage, to cyber threats and sabotage. As one of our data centre service engineers you will work with cutting-edge IT, supporting everyone in the organisation to keep the country safe.

In this role you’ll provide a stable IT platform for our users in a challenging and rewarding environment. You will liaise with engineering teams to manage end-to-end installations within the data centre space, provide technical assurance, and offer fixes for hardware failures. To improve systems you’ll undertake physical performance testing and encourage sustainable design on projects and initiatives.

To join, you will need experience of working within a data centre and a good understanding of a Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tool. You’ll also have experience of network, storage and computer hardware platforms. You will need to use excellent communication skills to confidently co-ordinate engineers. Logical, motivated and forward thinking, you’ll be used to investigating technical issues and planning data centre activity.
