Pharmaceutical Market research & Portfolio analyst - European markets

A global API and generic pharmaceutical company is looking to employ a Market research & Portfolio Analyst for the European markets.

This person will be critical to mapping and understanding Europe's generic pipeline and competitive landscape as well as the companies own generic portfolio. In doing this research the person will be providing intelligence to support asset valuations and potential targets including financial risks and future profitability.

This role requires an extensive understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, particularly the generic market and the ability to analyse and forecast from data.

This position reports directly into the Director of portfolio analysis and valuation who is based out in the States, giving this person great autonomy within their role.

Who am I looking for?

I am looking for someone that is currently working within a consultancy or the industry. A background within life science market research, competitive landscaping projects, drug forecasting and a degree of understanding within financial analysis would be ideal.

An understanding of the generics market, looking at generic competition and pipeline threats would also be highly appealing for this position.

The company is based in Edinburgh and would require travel to site to meet with the hiring manager when they travel over from the US and also for meetings with the commercial team. The frequency of this would fluctuate but is flexible. This role can be predominately home based unless the candidate is available to relocate to Edinburgh.
