IT Security Manager - Permanent - Leicester - £70,000

I am looking for a highly exceptional and dedicated IT Security Manager who is looking to join a global organisation and get the opportunity to take ownership of a global IT Security Infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

*Hands on delivery of tangible security and data management improvements

*Responsibility for IT Security capability and line-manage and develop team members.

*Provide guidance regarding technical security best practice to the IT team and wider user community.

*Review, challenge and contribute to technical designs to ensure that security is designed into new architectural solutions.

*Production of regular Security related reports for the executive team.

*General security administration support within the IT Security Team.

*Conduct regular reviews of security controls to ensure that they remain effective and fit for purpose.

*Manage security solutions deployed within the company such as email/web filtering, firewall monitoring, end-point protection, etc.

*Take ownership of security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that security best practice is applied across the business

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in the development and implementation of IT/cyber security strategy and objectives.

Experience required:

*Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent professional certification, such as SSCP or CISM

*Experience as an IT Security Manager/Officer in an international business, including multi-language

*Experience of managing, coaching and developing a team

*ITIL v3 Foundation

*Knowledge of and experience of ISO27001

*Proven ability to discuss and explain technical concepts to business stakeholders and influence decision makers

*Proven track record of implementing and improving information security practices and controls in areas including Data Protection, Identity and Access Management, Incident Response and Threat and Vulnerability Management

*Broad technical knowledge of current and emerging cyber threats, as well as security technologies and methods used to protect both corporate and customer-facing network infrastructures.

*Demonstrable technical knowledge and experience in the following areas: Firewall/VPN, Intrusion Protection and Detection Systems, Antivirus, Patching systems, Vulnerability Assessment, Web and email filtering, SSL Management, Encryption technologies and Cryptography, SIEM/Log Management, Network Monitoring solutions and Malware detection systems
