Web Developer / JavaScript Developer (JavaScript TypeScript Elm Web HTML5 CSS3 React). Leading, global travel eCommerce site is currently seeking a technologist Web Developer to design and develop Greenfield and existing applications for their B2C website and mobile platforms (60% is new development). The website currently receives 1 million unique visitors p/week / 600 requests a second and is highly transactional.

The company is technology driven (directors have technical backgrounds) and is constantly seeking to stay at the forefront of technical advancement, as a Web Developer you will be encouraged to use the best tool for the job and innovate, making recommendations for technology selection and learning on the job. They're currently moving towards functional programming with JavaScript; you'll be working with Elm and TypeScript and feeding back to the open source community.

Offices based in South West London / Surrey, informal, collegiate team environment (casual dress code, regular social events).

Requirements:

*Passionate technologist

*Experience of designing and developing engaging web front ends

*Good knowledge of JavaScript and other related front end technologies such as HTML(5) CSS(3)

*Familiar with at least one MVC framework, ideally React

*Interest and desire to work with functional programming: have played with Elm, TypeScript in own time or ideally have used commercially

*Excellent communication skills

*Likely to be degree educated although this is not essential
