Head of Quality - East Midlands - £65,000

A leading Pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the East Midlands are currently looking for an experienced QA professional to oversee their department. As the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the department along with ensuring customer requirements and industry best practice is up-held.

You will be running a division made of 35 individuals split into QA, QC and Compliance and will be responsible for the strategy across these functions while partaking in hosting audits and managing UK retailers.

Reporting into the Managing Director you will be given the flexibility to work autonomously while having structured support around you if needed. This is an ideal position for someone who is looking to step up into a Head of Quality role at a strategic level.

Responsibilities:

* To manage the reporting functions to develop and maintain the organisation's Quality Management Systems so as to deliver consistent Quality Management from an end to end business perspective.

* To operate as the primary contact to regulatory bodies and customers relative to the quality management systems for the site and for critical Quality and consumer safety related matters for nutritional products.

* To ensure that all relevant personnel within the Quality Teams are constantly in place and are suitably empowered and trained to meet business requirements.

* To manage Quality Audits conducted by customers and regulatory bodies.

Key Performance:

* Quality Management Systems related documentation that is constantly effective, up to date and integrated appropriately to form the foundation on which the Quality Management System operates.

* Demonstrable risk managed prevention, containment and reduction of business wide quality defects causing negative commercial and financial impact.

* Successfully host regulator and customer audits to achieve effective outcomes.

* Develop and constantly maintain effective Technical Agreements with customers and suppliers to ensure that all parties' requirements are clearly defined and delivered.
