My client are a market leader in the eCommerce industry for they're looking for a well versed Lead Magento Developer to build their brand new permanent Magento team.

You will possess excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP and happy with front and back end development. Be conversant with a number of PHP frameworks and APIs, and have experience of working with ecommerce systems, either bespoke or off-the-shelf. The successful applicant will be a seasoned web developer who will be well versed in developing and maintaining websites including ecommerce and CMS based projects. You will be tasked with extending website builds from front-end HTML and CSS to the middle tier and back end code to support the front end design and programming, as well as extending, enhancing and maintaining existing projects. Developers who have a proven track record of multiple website builds and CMS projects will be at distinct advantage.

Essential Requirements:

- 5+yrs Commercial Magento Development Experience

- Desire to lead, build and mentor a permanent development team

- Core OO PHP Programming Skills

- SQL (MySQL essential, SQL Server/TSQL desirable)

- Commercial experience with JavaScript (jQuery, Prototype, Moo tools, NodeJS, Anguler etc)

- Testing (PHPUnit, Phantom etc)

- Version Control (Git, SVN, Bazaar, Mercurial etc)

- Self motivated, enthusiastic, professional

Desirable Skills:

- PHP Frameworks (ZEND, CakePHP, CodeIgnitor, Symfony, Laravel etc)

- Ecommerce Experience (Magento, PHP Shop, OpenCart, OSCommerce or similar)

- CMS experience (Wordpress, Drupal etc)

- UX knowledge

- Linux

- Shell Scripting (Bash, Perl, Python etc)

For this position, my client are offering a salary in the region of £65-70k + a fantastic benefits package.
