About the role

The JavaScript Developer will be working within the UX team where you will be joining a company with many teams of talented developers that have a strong focus on customer centricity. You will get a chance to apply your knowledge and skills in both Greenfield and ongoing projects in an agile environment that enables Kindred to provide robust mobile first experiences to our valuable customers.

The JavaScript Developer be joining a company who believes in the growth and empowerment of people within the organisation, who promotes an open and proactive culture where their developers are encouraged to learn and contribute in ways outside the usual development work. This can include areas such as participating in different development academies, conferences, public speaking, etc.

Responsibilities

The JavaScript Developer responsible for the development and maintenance of the company's satellite websites, for example, corporate site, event sites, community site etc.

Responsible for responsive email template development

Working closely with UX team, Product Owners and other development team members to develop and evolve the front-end websites

Ensuring performance and quality of all deliveries across different platforms

Sharing knowledge and best practices within the organisation

Profile required

-Passionate about front-end development, tools and techniques.

-Eager to learn and to spread knowledge.

-Takes own initiative, being proactive.

-Experience developing front end clients/applications in a modular and extensible way

-Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery and API's.

-Experience working with WordPress

-Familiar with JavaScript testing, Strong appreciation for TDD/BDD

-Experience producing and maintaining responsive email templates

-Attention to detail to ensure the production of UI accurate interfaces is essential

-Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS, etc.) - desirable

-Experience working with Java-based backend systems - desirable
