The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Aeronautical Mechanical (Airframes/Engines) Tutor to join a leading Global Defence Technology & Security Organisation training, supporting and developing Mechanical trade Apprentices within their Apprenticeship Framework.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for delivery of both theoretical and practical lessons in the relevant subject areas.
* Identifying needs of learners and using teaching methods accordingly.
* Responsible for the preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans and learning material.
* Evaluating and assessing learners performance and progress and documenting progress.
* Responsible for Performance management for named learners.
* Ensuring all learner progress reports are completed on time, to the correct standard.
* Responsible for undertaking internal and external courses as required to ensure own CPD is maintained and competency to fulfil role is maintained.
* Contributing to course design, programming, planning and aspects of delivery where required.
Requirements
* Relevant and recent knowledge of an educational environment
* Knowledge of Mechanical Subjects
* Recognised teaching qualification
* Recognised Assessor qualification
* Qualification of minimum L3 Aeronautical engineering, with Mechanical specialisation (or demonstrable evidence to demonstrate competency)
