Role: Java developer - Software Engineer - Java / Java script, Spring Boot / - For one of the most exciting tech companies

Location: Leeds (LS1) Leeds City Centre

Salary: £35-55k

You will be working as a Java developer for one of the most exciting technology teams in the UK. You will be working part of a small driven team who work collaboratively with a shared purpose. The role is for a company listed in the Sunday times 100 best companies to work for.

The role: Java developer - Software Engineer - Java / Java script, Spring Boot/ - For one of the most exciting tech teams

You will be working as a software engineer working with the latest technologies for their next generation in house platforms primarily written in Kotlin and leaning heavily on message-oriented microservice design patterns. You will be turning concepts into highly available web applications and systems using the standard industry languages such as Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, MYSQL and Kafqa. You would also contribute to the application design, database design, data-flows and detailed technical design.

This is an excellent opportunity to come in and work with the latest technologies, even if you don't have the experience, there are many technical experts to learn from alongside excellent training and development opportunities for all engineers.

Key Skills/Requirements

*Need to demonstrate good levels of skills in Java, Kotlin, or something comparable

*Comfortable with techniques such as message queues, data stores.

*Understanding of the many storage patterns, know the strengths and weaknesses when compared to traditional relational databases.

*Comfortable working in a Linux environment

*Self motivated and willing to contribute to design at all levels
