Software Architect required to join innovative technology company developing software and visualisation tools from massive data volumes for clients in engineering industry. My client has seen a growth in the development team and work and requires a Software Architect who can architect and design new software and integrate features into existing solutions.

This role would suit a software professional with 5-10 years commercial experience developing object oriented software across the full development lifecycle. Ideally be able to bring experience and knowledge of some or all of the following real-time and multi-threading, web technologies, Big Data and fast data transfer. The tech stack includes, C++ JavaScript, Node.JS, SQL an NoSQL . The development team is working on data processing and visualisation applications that provide clients with interactive analysis.

Principle Work and Responsibilities

                     Strategic planning for growth of software applications

                     Planning for refactoring and maintainability of code base / projects

                     Advise and direct on best coding practices to maintain high quality code base

                     Architect new solutions and design new features and enhancement for existing solutions

                     Mentor / support developers

                     Hands on development with what is left of your time.

Required Experience -

                     10+ years’ experience designing and building software applications

                     Solid experience of leading and delivering successful modern, highly available, high quality, high performance architectures using C++, Web Technologies (Node.JS) and Big Data

                     Solid experience with distributed software design

                     Experience with using SQL / NoSQL data stores

                     Experience working with large data sets and designing solutions for fast data transfer

                     Experience with developing customer facing applications for data visualization

Candidates with experience in the oil and gas industry, geophysical software development, CAD / CAE packages, defence sectors would be of interest for this C++ Software Developer / C++ Software Architect role.
