SC Live Service Technician - Hursley, Hampshire - 12 Month Contract

My client, a large Outsourcing organisation are looking for a Service Technician to join them on a 12 month contract. The role will be based in Hursley and working on 12 hours shifts to cover the customers live service operations, the role is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills whilst earning a competitive daily rate.

Project Background:

* The Duty Technician provides 1st/2nd level operational support to a Public Sector account.

* This is a technical role that will involve building operational expertise across a wide range of industry standard technologies (AIX, Windows, Linux, DB2, Oracle, WebSphere, Tivoli etc).

* Duties of the role will include systems and applications monitoring through Tivoli, responding to alerts, problem diagnosis, executing recovery actions, providing out of hours service desk support to the Client end users, coordinating 3rd party suppliers to provide support.

* The role will be working 12 hours shifts to cover 24/7 service and will involve working nights and weekends.

Experience/Required Skills:

* Candidates should come from a live service background ideally with an ITIL Certification.

* Candidates should have experience of a range of technologies and be keen and willing to learn on the job.

* Tivoli

* Candidates should hold an active SC Clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the process.
