Infrastructure Support Engineer - London - DV Clearance

DURATION: 6 - 12 Months Contract with the option available to renew the contract further.

DAILY RATE: Competitive (subject to your skills and experience in meeting the role requirements).

*** Please note that due to the nature and urgency of this requirement, the successful candidate will need to hold a valid DV Clearance before you are allowed to work on the client's site ***

Role Profile

An attractive opportunity has arisen for a talented Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a highly skilled Infrastructure Support team to support the Infrastructure tools within the client organisation, e.g. Splunk, SCCM, etc.

In this role you will be responsible for:

* Providing 3rd Line Level of Support;

* Maintain and support RDS Servers;

* Willingness to seek out and providing solutions to technical fault abnormalities;

* Pre-assess and react to current technical issues and learn from it to ensure a reduction of similar issues in the future;

* Meet SLA's set by business and keep management up to date with progress;

* Engage with 3rd party suppliers;

* Maintain architecture and deployment documentation.

Other support activities will be required however due to the sensitivity of the role this cannot be disclosed until you are on client site.

Occasional overtime outside of normal office hours may be required and overtime will be paid. We offer flexible working arrangements and this can be discussed with your line manager.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with the experience of working in a fast-paced enterprise IT environment with good knowledge of systems architecture and a good understanding of Network, Server Infrastructure and application technologies.

You will also need to have strong analytical and modelling skills with good knowledge of technical OSI and layer 2 technologies and be able to realise the discovery capability spread over multiple protocols and technologies;

This role will suit someone who possesses strong stakeholder management and communication skills that can absorb new information quickly and keeps themselves updated with latest technology.

We are keen to see candidates that possess advanced skills in one or more the following areas (however this is desirable and not necessary):

* Good experience of using Microsoft Office including MS Visio;

* Good experience using IBM TSRM;

* ITIL Foundation Qualification;

* Knowledge of System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM).
