The role will require a good understanding of learning methodologies and how to apply them to maximise learning outcomes. The post holder will be required to identify any TNA requirements and have sufficient knowledge and ability to support and further develop a standardised and evolving e-learning training plan. The post holder will also provide first line IT skills support and generally increase IT capability and skills across the organisation.

Main responsibilities

1. Provide input into the IT Training strategy and plan.

2. Determine and record the IT training needs of all members of staff.

3. Provide advice and guidance on IT Training, including the development of Training Needs Analyses.

4. Develop, organise and run group courses for Trust staff in the use of:

* Clinical Applications, including SystmOne.

* Microsoft Office Applications

* E-mail applications

* Basic computer skills

5. Manage the availability of the IT Training rooms and send invitations to training for Trust staff.

6. Develop any training materials needed to support courses. Convert generic training documents to service specific training manuals, ensuring these remain current where necessary.

7. Provide ad hoc, first line IT training support to staff.

8. Support project managers and other project staff in determining IT training requirements and advise on the most effective method of delivering that training. This will include management of any required delivery of external training required to deliver projects within required timeframes.

9. Represent the IT Training team at external IT training meetings.

10. To evaluate the success of delivered training, amending future training programmes for new users, as appropriate.

11. To liaise closely with the IT Department, ensuring that major changes to the software are assessed for user impact and training provided as appropriate.

12. To be responsible for developing IT Training communication bulletins and inputting IT training information into the Learning and Development Directory.

13. To be responsible for developing IT training input for Trust in-house publications.

14. To develop and maintain the IT training Intranet pages.

15. To be responsible for ensuring that all IT training received by staff is recorded onto the Learning Management system
