Digital Delivery Manager - Public Sector - Manchester

Our Public Sector client based in Manchester require a digital delivery manager to manage one or more agile projects, typically to deliver a specific product or transformation via a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled digital team. The successful candidate will be adept at delivering complex predominantly digital projects, breaking down barriers for your team and both planning at a higher level and getting into the detail to make things happen when needed.

Role Responsibilities

* Fully engage in all development and delivery activities as and when directed.

* Maintain an up to date Personal Development Plan/Portfolio.

* Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently

* Manage, and continuously monitor, specific projects and products to ensure satisfactory progress and consistent delivery aligned to the agreed funding, outputs and timescales

* Proactively manage stakeholder needs and expectations

* Work with the Product Manager to define the roadmap for any given product and translate this into user stories

* Ensure problems and issues are effectively resolved.

Key Skills/ Experience

* Knowledge of a range of Agile and Lean tools and techniques

* Experience of communicating effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context

* Experience of solving issues and unblocking problems. Driving teams and setting pace. Ensuring teams are working towards delivery commitments

* Experience of effectively managing and tracking the mitigation of risks

* Experience of managing dependencies across teams

* Experience of challenging and improving disproportionate organisational processes where it impacts the pace of team.

* Experience of influencing and making positive changes to an organisation

* Broad knowledge of public transport issues and transport in general

* Knowledge and awareness of working in an environment involving contact with senior elected Members.

* Experience of commercial and procurement management of suppliers

* Knowledge and experience of securing capital and revenue funding and other 3rd party funding sources.
