Lead Front End Developer

A new opportunity has arisen for a Lead Front End Developer to join a globally renowned 'Sunday Times Top 25 Big Company' in Hemel Hempstead. Working as part of a close-knit in-house digital team, you will be responsible for ensuring the teams workflow output, (both code and creative) is meeting the high quality expected.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Front End Developer with commercial experience in a role of a similar nature. You will be an ambassador of the brand in line with the digital strategy, ensuring you keep on top of emerging technology to maintain, revamp and improve pre-existing platforms and web pages. The role involves daily coding in both HTML and CSS, as well as the mentoring and guiding of the junior team members.

Key experience and skills needed for the Lead Front End Developer:

* Collaborative way of working; you will work closely with the Digital Manager to ensure technical and creative quality of the work

* Extensive experience hand coding in HTML/HTML5/CSS

* Specialist knowledge in JavaScript and SASS, paired with some knowledge of jQuery, React, and Angular and surrounding skills

* Commercial experience in email and web page builds (with both new and existing web pages ideal)

* A strong team player with the ability to mentor and guide others from a tech perspective

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) + Benefits and Bonus
