Job Title: Central Planner

Have you ever wondered what it takes to support our armed forces?

My Client is a FTSE-100 Defence & Engineering company and is currently recruiting within their land division based in Warminster and are interested in hearing from candidates with planning experience.

You will be responsible for the planning administration tasks to produce production plans for sites. Responding to Sales Orders created, the Central Planner role schedules work requests into the ERP system production plan.

Responsibilities

* Build close working relationships with Operational support functions (e.g. Sales Order Creation, Planning SMEs, JAMES Administration, Customer Services, the Hub) to deliver a joined up service

* Knowledge of how to use IT systems - e.g. ERP system, SharePoint

* Ensure all tasks are accurately planned using the ERP system

* Ensure all electronic job pack documentation for processes conducted is completed and uploaded to SharePoint

* Respond to new demands promptly and efficiently, creating plans for production from customer demands

* Flex and prioritise work tasks in the plan to minimise the probability of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) failures

* Identify capability and capacity issues associated with plans and liaise with all key stakeholders

Skills & Behaviours

* Competent PC user (MS Office, MS Outlook, SharePoint, ERP system)

* Ability to multi-task

* Ability to make rational decisions based on information available

* Ability to make prioritisation decisions with limited resources

* Ability to react to changing demands

* Ability to communicate with team members and collaborate with other supporting functions

* In depth knowledge of capacity planning including resource and capability restraints

* Understanding on Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) principles

Qualifications

* Educated to Level 3 in National Qualification Framework (NQF) as a minimum (Advanced apprenticeship, Level 3 NVQ, A Level, IB Diploma) or equivalent workplace experience
