A global Electrical and Instrumentation contractor who provides specialist engineering, construction, commissioning and maintenance services across a wide range of industries including Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, Infrastructure and Mining is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to contribute towards the next-stage of their UK growth plans. Scope of work

Targeting EPC organisations within the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Mining and Pharmaceutical sectors, as Business Development Manager you will be tasked with identifying opportunities and contributing to business development strategies in-line with Key Business Goals. Playing an integral role in the growth of this organisation across the United Kingdom, you will develop new business relationships with potential clients and maximise relationships with existing accounts to ensure continued development of business opportunities.

It is important that you are able to represent the organisation in a thoroughly professional manner, opening up new opportunities and relationships before delivering presentations to prospective clients on behalf of the company. A highly customer-facing role, you will regularly travel across the United Kingdom visiting EPC organisations as you seek to grow business with both new and existing customer accounts.

Playing a hands-on role in working alongside the team in the preparation of bids and tenders, it is important that you are able to understand the detail of the project, ensuring that all bids and tenders meet the technical side of customer requirements and enabling you to present such proposals in an efficient manner that ultimately secures profitable business.

Collating and sharing market intelligence within the organisation, you will work closely with the Managing Director in ensuring that all marketing material is representative of the business goals and values. The reporting process will involve monthly Business Development progress reports for the board and will involve attending their headquarters in the Republic of Ireland on a monthly basis. This position is based from their Billingham facility in the North-East of England and will require attendance when not out on the road visiting customers.

You will:

* Possess experience within the Electrical and Mechanical Construction industry

* Have a technical construction background

* Have a hands-on, driven attitude to developing new business

* Have previous Business Development experience at senior-level

* Be willing to travel across the United Kingdom on a regular basis and engage in international travel approximately once a month.

* Be able to commute to their Billingham facility in the North-East of England when not out on the road visiting customers.

Why apply?

The company is paying a basic salary of between £70,000-£80,000 with bonus and package. They would, however, also consider hiring professionals at Director-level.
