The Barnet Group are currently seeking to recruit a full time Head of IT Services. The post holder will report directly to the Director of Corporate Services, and will be a member of the Groups Senior Management Team.

The primary objective of this role is to support The Barnet Group's strategic plans through effective design and delivery of the IT service and related projects.
The Head of IT Services will need to work closely with external partners to provide The Barnet Group with innovative technology solutions. In particular, the post holder will be a key contact with the council and its IT service provider, and be a named lead for the IT Service Level Agreement between the parties.

As a Head of IT Services your duties will include:
Providing strategic guidance on the delivery of the Group’s ICT requirements
Leading on key IT projects and maintaining an oversight of the IT elements of other corporate projects
Overseeing the production of management information and compliance with data protection legislation
Lead a staff team to deliver a continuously improving IT support service
Producing reports for Senior Managers and Board Members to aid strategic decision making
To control IT budgets

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, problem solving and leadership skills, and the ability to translate strategic objectives into practical implementation plans. Project Management, analytical skills and high levels of literacy and numeracy are essential. Experience of working with Housing Management Systems would be an advantage.

Currently our main offices are located at Barnet House, Whetstone N20. We will be moving to new modern offices at Colindale NW9 in October 2018.
