PHP Developer - York - UK - £35,000 - Laravel Framework, Heavy Application Build, Unlimited Training Budget…

A leading digital agency in the heart of York is looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join their team and hit the ground running on a variety of bespoke web builds using up to date MVC framework.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for…

* Building and developing a solutions with-in a small and growing development team using Laravel

* Maintenance and debugging of Back-End systems

* Troubleshooting and support and serve issues that come up

* Helping contribute to future technical road-mapping of the company

* Integrating back-end code into the existing front-end code from the dynamics team

The ideal candidate will have…

* Demonstrable commercial experience in creating and maintaining object oriented PHP based systems

* Experience of using the Laravel Framework (Associated frameworks also accepted)

* Experience of working with MySQL 5+

* Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS/LESS or SASS, JavaScript and Ajax

* Experience of using Version Control systems such as Git as part of a team

* Experience in creating and maintaining RESTful APIs and JSON

* Experience of automated testing (preferably PHPUnit and Behat/Selenium)

* Experience using NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB

* Experience of AWS/Azure/Google Cloud

* Experience of working in a continuous integration environment
