Programme Manager

£65,000 per annum

Permanent, Full-time

An excellent opportunity has arisen with my FTSE 100 client; the UK's leading Engineering Support Services Organisation. They have undergone a significant business transformation and are looking to appoint a Programme Manager.

The purpose of this role is to manage the output of programmed work and is accountable for co-ordinating and managing the activity of works required to deliver the output(s) and producing the output plan(s).

Responsibilities:

* Monitoring production output against plans using project management processes

* Working with Workshops Managers to confirm overall programme status and react to signs of delay

* Producing and managing a concerns and counter measures process to highlight and resolve issues

* Working with internal stakeholders to jointly achieve the programme

* Operations main point of contact for proposed amendments to programme delivery plan or volumes (additions, reductions, changes)

* Responsibility to communicate proposed programme changes to Site Managers etc

* Attending customer meetings, travelling to multiple sites and hosting customer visits

* Managing programme budget - Material and labour spend within programme areas

* Monitoring Non-conformances, supplier performance, material delays

* To assist in new business (tender writing support, negotiations, advice/guidance) and business winning procedures

* To act as additional management/site support for high volume/underperforming production areas

* To lead by example in adhering to company processes supporting on-going ISO 9001 (2015) certification

* Ensuring H&S standards are followed including use of PPE, safe working areas, near miss reporting and accident reporting

* Ensuring management chain is notified of risks of meeting output plan

Required Competencies

* High level/ Complex multi-million Programme Management experience

* Completed Project Management methodology (e.g. APM, PRICE2, MSP)

* Degree qualified

* Competent PC user (MS Office, MS Outlook, SharePoint, ERP system)

* Ability to challenge and have awkward conversations and make rational decisions

* Ability to set and manage budgets

* Ability to react to changing demands

* Ability to communicate and manage senior stakeholders (internal and external)
