Senior Django Developer - Python, Web, Architect, Agile - JY/4839 A

A Senior Django Developer is required at an established Growth company in Oxford to join their platform development team. The Django Developer will join a collaborative and innovative environment; bringing excellent technical knowledge and having an equal voice in the guidance of the product roadmap.

The Senior Django Developer will take an autonomous role within the team, exploring users’ and partners’ requirements to drive the functionality, experience and scalability of the platform. There is excellent room for career development within the company, joining at a time of significant market growth and with clear potential to head up a progressive Development team.

The Senior Django Developer will be responsible for:

Continuous improvement of the platform, adding new features and functionality

Ensuring scalability for a platform with a global presence

Active discussions throughout the team to drive performance and influence the product roadmap

Mentoring team members

Developing algorithms to drive user engagement

Code reviews

Bug fixing and regression testing

The Senior Django Developer will bring skills and experience in:

Django OR Python

Developing data driven websites

Database tools (e.g. PostgreSQL)

Working in open source

Further experience - non-essential!

Team leading

Sprint planning

Git / SVN

ReactJS - potential to move towards SPA development

This role is be suitable for a mid to senior level Developer who is keen on being part of a friendly and driven team that are creating a beautiful, innovative product for users around the world.
