We are looking for Software Engineers at different levels to join my client based in Cambridge. The ideal Software Engineer will have experience with C# .NET development, as well as WPF.

You will be responsible for application/API software development in C# as well as software testing using test-driven development (TDD) to ensure code is surrounded by high coverage unit tests.

The successful Software Engineer will be comfortable working within a small agile team where your contribution, energy, enthusiasm and drive to deliver high quality software will be critical. You must be a confident communicator and have the ability to investigate and analyse complex systems in a methodical way.

Skills and experience required:

* Good degree or equivalent in a related subject i.e. Computer Science, Maths or Electronics.

* Programming experience using C, C++, C# or similar

* Development of object oriented applications in C# using Microsoft Windows tools (Visual Studio 2013 or later) and .NET (4.5 or later)

* GUI development using Windows presentation foundation (WPF)

* Employs test driven development to surround code with high quality unit tests

Desirable experience but not essential:

* ARM Cortex or 8051 PSOC programming

* Ethernet and/or TCP/IP protocols using asynchronous communications & programming

* Scrum or other Agile development processes and methods (e.g. CI/CD/TDD)

* Use of mocking libraries

* SQL/MySQL databases
