Principal Test Analyst, Tester, Automation, Selenium, Cucumber, Agile, AWS, Senior Test Analyst

My client is a leading worldwide technical solutions provider and they are seeking a Principal Test Analyst / Tester to join their Oxford based offices. The role of the Principal Test Analyst will be working in an Agile team on key projects for the company. You will play a pivotal role in defining test strategies, coordinating with onsite and offshore teams, and carrying out hands on testing when required.

The successful Principal Test Analyst / Tester will be comfortable working closely with stakeholders at various levels and 3rd party suppliers and vendors. You will be working on a number of concurrent projects as well as overseeing the maintenance testing of a number of legacy systems. We are looking for proactive individuals who clearly understand the importance of testing within Agile frameworks and can make a meaningful difference to software delivery.

The successful Tester / Test Analyst will have:

                                         Proven commercial experience as a Tester / Test Analyst

                                         ISTQB qualifications would be beneficial

                                         Proven experience of Agile delivery with experience of coaching teams to deliver high levels of test automation

Key responsibilities:

                                         Interact with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan testing

                                         Plan and execute automated, performance and exploratory tests

                                         Proactively set standards for user stories in relation to documented scenarios, and working with Product Owner / BA and developers, ensure user stories are ready for sprint planning

                                         Oversee offshore testers

                                         Work with development teams to ensure test automation is embedded in their coding practices and delivery pipeline

                                         Configure, maintain, and/or administer testing tools or environments

                                         Research available tools

                                         participate in initiatives to implement tools that will cost-effectively enhance testing capabilities and product quality

                                         Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives

                                         Implement best practices

                                         All other duties as assigned

Technical Skills required for the Tester / Principal Test Analyst position:

                                         Automation Testing

                                         Experience of Selenium, Cucumber and Gherkin

                                         TDD and BDD experience

                                         Agile including coaching teams in an Agile approach

                                         Continuous integration

                                         Cloud Experience with AWS

                                         Experience of the HP / Microfocus suite of testing tools (ALM/QC, UFT, LeanFT and LoadRunner / StormRunner)

                                         Experience of Jira, Confluence

                                         Any exposure to other Zephyr versions would be beneficial

                                         Strong understanding of QA methodologies

                                         Strong knowledge of process improvement

                                         vendor management (tools and people)
