Business Analyst
Test Analyst, Agile, Jira, Confluence, Gherkin, Product Owner, Acceptance Testing
Business Analyst with Tester experiencer or Test Analyst with experience as a Business Analyst is required for my Global client. This exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst will be based in Oxford on a 12 month contract bases and will give the successful Business Analyst the chance to work with cutting edge technology. The role will include working closely with Product Owners and acting as a Proxy Product Owner when needed.
Main Duties and Responsibilities for the Business Analyst
Act as a proxy product owner carrying out acceptance testing to ensure delivered solution meets the business need, not just the documented requirements
Work with key project stakeholders to ensure delivered solution meets the business strategy
Interpret documented user stories and provide feedback to project team on improvements or gaps, capturing these as additional requirements or bugs as appropriate
Capture and execute test plans using Jira/Zephyr to ensure story acceptance criteria are met
Ensure delivered software is fit for purpose and usable
Understand complex business processes
Identify, analyse and document defects using Jira and work with the project team to establish priority
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Work with the developer to articulate changes as required
Key Skill and Experience of the Business Analyst
Very strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with an ability to understand and empathise with key project stakeholders
Proven ability to interpret business strategies and how they relate to specific user stories and delivered code
Proven analysis skills
Proven experience of working on Agile deliveries with user stories, acceptance criteria and test scenarios
Experience of acting as a proxy product owner
Experience of acceptance testing and test planning
Proactive, pragmatic and adaptable to ensure the successful delivery of the project
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Gherkin
