Linux Systems Aministrator/DevOps Engineer - London - £45k to £50k
My Client, a leading digital agency in the UK, are recruiting for a Linux Systems Administrator & DevOps Engineer. You will be working on a range of small to enterprise level builds, contribute to creation and maintenance of new and existing IT infrastructure and providing autom ation where appropriate.
Person Specification:
* Experience of Linux operating systems to intermediate level (CentOS/Debian is used here)
* Experience supporting Linux based web hosting environments (Apache, Nginx, MySQL, Memcache, Solr)
* System Administration with a good understanding of software installation (from repo and source), patc hing and scripting
* Modern monitoring and logging solutions, such as Nagios, NewRelic, Splunk etc
* Experience in cloud services, preferably AWS - Managing AWS cloud services such as EC2, ELB, Route53, S3, RDS, Cloudwatch, IAM, VPC and SES
* Experience with MySQL databases and web servers configurations, performance optimisation, high availability, load balancing and scalability
* Good experience in database and web server maintenance
* Ability to set up and manage infrastructure applications (software patching and server management software etc.)
* Confident with any of the following: Bash, Python, PHP
* Comfortable working on web applications (Apache, Nginx, MySQL)
* Excellent teamwork skills
Desirable skills:
* Any configuration management tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity
* Automation techniques using tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet
