We are recruiting for a talented FPGA Design Engineer to join our global electronics client based in Edinburgh. If you are passionate about FPGA technology, our client is undoubtedly one of the best companies to work for.

In this role you will be developing FPGA technology that is truly ahead of the game; technology which will be mainstream in several years' time. As the successful FPGA Design Engineer you will be developing FPGA-based IP cores and systems to address the state-of-the-art communication systems. You will have the chance to work on new and complex FPGA designs and gain exposure to HDL design, modelling, hardware prototyping, and development of IP cores.

The right candidate for this position may be a recent graduate with 1-3 years' experience, or a PhD student with solid project history in FPGA or IC development. Essential requirements include:

· Prior experience working on RTL design of complex digital systems for FPGAs or ASICs

· Expertise in VHDL or Verilog coding

· Experience of RTL synthesis

· A real passion for technology, a keen eye for detail and enthusiasm for cracking tricky technical challenges
