Job Title: Senior Technical Engineer

Daily Rate: Up to £400

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 3 Months

Location: Solihull

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Engineer for immediate 3 month contract based in Solihull. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the following areas.

-Windows XP, 7/Server 2003, 2008 & 2012

-Exchange Server Administration 2007, 2010

-Group Policy

-Patching (WSUS Implementation)

-Linux based systems (RHEL, CentOS)

-3rd/4th Line support engineer experience

Day to Day responsibilities

Essential Experience

Total familiarity with the core operating system environments and hardware platforms:

HP ProLiant Rack & Blade based server hardware

Windows Server 2003, 2008 & 2012

Windows XP, Windows 7

Performing remote support via telephone/email and using remote support tools to access custom systems.

Sound working knowledge of one or more specified systems appropriate

Technical Knowledge

Microsoft Exchange Server Administration 2007, 2010

VMWare ESXi Implementation, Administration and Migration

WSUS Implementation, Deployment, Management and Administration

Exposure to Linux based systems RHEL, CentOS form a deployment arena is of benefit.

Maintenance of Rack Mounted Equipment

Work Experience

General IT Support/Training

Technical, e.g. hardware, operating systems or programming.

3rd/4th Line support engineer

Technical team leader
