Senior PHP Developer is required by an innovative software house to join a highly successful PHP development team. Based in Glasgow, they are seeking a capable software engineer to join their development ream and take the next step in their career. The role will see the successful candidate join a talented PHP team and help to deliver projects and solutions for their customers.

One of the most notable names in the Central belt, this digital consultancy design and build innovative digital products and services for the public and private sectors. As part of the latest evolution of the company, they have been collaborating closely with cultural heritage, scientific academic and professional researchers and publishers to bring engineering and product design innovations.

Although they are looking for an engineer to join the development team there will be interaction with clients both business and technical so candidates must be good communicators. This is great for any PHP Developer who is looking to move into a Managerial role in the future.

Highly relevant

* Modern PHP5, including tooling such as PHP Unit and Composer.

* An understanding of common software design patterns.

* Drupal

* Infrastructure as code such as Puppet, Chef.

* Principles, practices and the business case for continuous integration and continuous delivery.

* Scalability, in particular caching, optimising SQL queries and CDNs.
