Rate: £425 - £475 per day
When they want people to start: Now up to 4 weeks (Perfect if you have a notice period)
Contract length: 6 months initial (Likely to extend)

Summary of the work
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Java Developer has come up with one of our clients in Sheffield. They are looking for an experienced Java developer to help take lead in the development team to work on new systems for a very interesting and valuable project. You would be part of an Agile team working alongside other develops including other full stack developers, a tester and a front end JavaScript developer. You would need plenty of experience working as part of a team and also being able to lead and come up with new ideas. Communication and team work is a key part of this role and interest/experience in design as well as developing code is a must.
Essential skills and experience
* Recent experience developing using Java7/8
* Spring and Hibernate experience
* Experience working on large systems using micro-services architecture
* Interest in using a range of technologies and can pick up things quickly
* Strong understanding of modern application architecture and design principles.
* Used to working in an Agile/Kanban environment
* Good communication skills and experience working in collaborative environments
Nice-to-have skills and experience
* Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems
* Experience of building and scaling high-traffic websites
* Experience of handling large data sets and scaling their handling and storage
* Experience of working with JavaScript libraries to produce data visualisations.
* Knowledge of Oracle tools
* Experience working in Automation test environments.
