Senior Windows Build Engineer - Preston - 6 Month Contract

My client, a large Outsourcing organisation are looking for a Windows Build Engineer to join them on a 6 month contract based in Preston. The role will be working closely with a large Public Sector client and can offer a competitive daily rate.

Experience/Required Skills:

* Strong experience building and deploying Enterprise Windows infrastructure components for Windows 2012 onwards

* In depth knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, remote desktop services (RDS) including gateway, broker and session hosts and security features such as App Locker

* Windows System Administration

* Understanding of security features within Windows

* Ability to code and script in PowerShell

* Strong grasp of automation tools for rapid deployment of virtual infrastructure

* Comfortable working across production, test and development environments under change control

* Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders

Core Skills

* MCSA: Windows Server 2012 or above

* 5+ Years as Windows sysadmin at enterprise level

* 2+ Years deploying Windows infrastructure on green field

* 2+ Years developing PowerShell scripts for automation

* 2+ Years VMWare ESXi

Desirable Skills

* Deployment within Cloud environments such as AWS or Azure

* Linux sysadmin skills including scripting in Shell or Python

* Understanding of security baselines and requirements for IT systems Experience in developing Infrastructure verification tooling such as Cucumber
