SQL Database Administrator / SQL DBA - A brand new career opportunity has just become available for a forward-thinking SQL Database Administrator / SQL DBA to join our dynamic and friendly team based in Hemel Hempstead during an exciting time of our Leisure organisation's development.

The successful SQL Database Administrator / SQL DBA will join our hugely skilled team as they provide BAU support, working with the Application, Infrastructure Support teams to provide a coordinated service in accordance with the ITIL best practice. As the SQL Database Administrator / SQL DBA you'll be assisting the architecture team in understanding customer's business requirements and will be supporting the technical design, test and implementation of new projects and SQL upgrades.

As the SQL Database Administrator / SQL DBA you will own and complete complex technical tasks within the SQL environments; you'll also provide SQL support for projects requiring new database and SQL instances including rollout and upgrades. The successful SQL Database Administrator / SQL DBA will proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.

Skills needed for the SQL Database Administrator / SQL DBA role:

* Proven experience in a SQL Database Administrator role.

* Detailed and demonstrable knowledge of installation and operation of SQL 2008 - 2016.

* Detailed and demonstrable knowledge of configuration, design, capacity planning of SQL.

* Strong SSIS, SSRS and SSAS experience.

* Brilliant communication skills with the ability to work with a wide range of internal customers and manage project expectations.

SQL Database Administrator / SQL DBA

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus & Benefits.

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
