£35,000 to £45,000 + 10% Bonus + £2,000pa On-Call (1 x Week in 10) + Excellent Benefits

Global IT Solutions organisations are seeking an experienced Storage & Hosting Engineer to provide Design, Deployment, Technical Support and Technical Administration for their Datacentres.

Reporting to the Hosting & Storage Manager, you will support the Storage Team in the development and implementation of team, departmental and business wide service improvements, plus the input of planning and technical remediation initiatives towards Cloud Infrastructure, IaaS and NaaS.

Key tasks for the successful candidate will be to support the strategic planning, implementation and support of Storage, NetBackup and/or Backup Exec, MS DPM, NetApp, HP 3Par, MSA and MS StorSimple.

This will involve planning, scheduling and implementing all Change Requests and Maintenance activities for the team as well as on-going Root Cause Analysis a within the Cloud Hosting, Backup and Storage function.

Your key skills requirements will include:

* NetBackup and/or Backup Exec

* Systems Centre DPM

* HP 3Par

* MSA

* MS Azure / StorSimple

* NetApp Storage Systems

* Virtualisation, Cloud Technologies and Server solutions within a large datacenter environment.

* Extensive knowledge of MS Active Directory and Active Directory Tools

* Experience with configuring and maintaining monitoring tools and systems

* Experience configuring Linux and Windows operating systems

* Linux

* Scripting language. (e.g. VBScript, Bash, PowerShell etc)

Professional Certifications will be advantageous but will not take precedence over solid and proven technical capability:

* NetApp Certification/s

* Microsoft MCSE, MCSA

* VMware VCP5/6

* ITIL v3
