SQL Server DBA:

A new and exciting opportunity as a SQL Server DBA has been made available to join a growing investment banks. This is a permanent position based in London city. In this role you will be responsible for up to 400 SQL server databases and over 40 servers.

As a SQL Server DBA you will ensure that all systems are reliable in order to provide the highest level of support for those systems and applications whenever required. In this role you will be required to carry out SQL Server Database Replication in a high availability and highly replicated environment. Getting involved in the technology strategy working with senior stakeholders across technology.

In this role you will be required to work on both new and older versions of SQL Server including some 2005 Databases and many of the newer databases including SQL Server 2008R2/2012 and some SQL Server 2014 using an array of features including SQL Server AlwaysOn. All you need to be considered for this position are the following skills: Experience as a SQL Server DBA working within financial services. Experience carrying out Database replication, installations, migrations and upgrades. Experience with SQL Server Always-On or at least a good understanding of what it is.
