SQL Server DBA:

A New and exciting opportunity for a SQL Server DBA has been made available with one of the most progressive Investment Banks, who provide specialist investment banking services and innovative solutions in global markets. This is a permanent position based in their London office offering a competitive base salary, pension and benefits.

The Team:

As a SQL Server DBA you will be working in a collaborative on-site team, with the IT team being made up of forty to sixty people, as part of the London Systems and Technology team you will work closely with one other SQL Server DBA based in the New York office to provide 24/7 cover across the Asian market in order to deliver a high quality, global systems support service. In this role your working hours will be 8 AM to 5 PM and would be required to provide

As a SQL Server DBA you will:

As a SQL Server DBA you should be familiar working on maintaining and improving the database of the organisation. More specifically, you will work on:

* Designing and developing the strategy

* Monitoring the system

* Improving the database

Technical skills you will need for this Database Administrator position:

A successful SQL Server DBA will be comfortable working with SQL Server 2012/2014 and managing and maintaining SQL Server AlwaysOn. Day to day your work will be administration of databases objects, performance tuning, mirroring as well as contributing to the design and development of a new Data Warehouse alongside the Data Warehouse Architect.

* Experience of Microsoft SQL Server

* AlwaysOn

* Good communications skills

Preferred:

* Oracle Database experience an advantage

* Knowledge of working with Sharepoint
