SQL Server DBA / SQL DBA (SQL Server 2012 - 2017 HADR T-SQL). Technology driven Hedge Fund with multi-billion dollars under management is seeking a technologist SQL Server DBA to join an established Production DBA team as the business goes through an ambitious period of growth and change.

As an SQL Server DBA you'll be working with the latest technologies including SQL Server 2017 with scope for the role to be extended to Cassandra and PostgreSQL. Responsibilities will encompass database administration and support for multi-site SQL Server environment (2012-2017) including the design and maintenance of business critical multi-site environment utilising HADR technologies such as replication, mirroring, clustering, log shipping and availability groups. You'll be working closely with developers to advise on design and indexing issues, performance tuning and implementation of code changes.

You'll be working closely with other business units on project based work and will gain exposure to a wide range of enterprise products and technologies. Fantastic Central London office with a professional yet friendly, collaborative and social environment with smart casual dress code.

Requirements:

*Strong experience as a Production DBA with an indepth knowledge of database administration using SQL 2008 or higher

*Ability to script with T-SQL or Powershell to perform automation and maintenance tasks

*Exposure to HA/DR features (Replication, Log shipping, Mirroring, Clustering, AG)

*Broad technical understanding of Windows, Networks, Storage, VMWare

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*Desirable: Linux, NoSQL, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, DevOps scripting / tooling, JIRA, Confluence
