Role: Java developer

Rate: £390 - £430 per day

Positions: 2

Contract length: 6 months initial

Location: Leeds area

When they want people to start: From next week up to 4 weeks' time (perfect if you have a one month's notice)

Role overview Our client, a leading e-commerce company in Leeds are looking to recruit 2 experienced java developers into an existing team. The client have established themselves as a company who has a modern tech stack, agile environment and collaborative culture. This particular team are dedicated to an agile approach to delivery and use a combination of scrum/kanban but also will adopt best practice towards development (TDD, BDD, clean code).

As a Java developer you would need to ensure all deliverables factor in support and operational requirements to ensure continuous deployment can be maintained. You would need to participate in the design of software solutions and work with the Solutions Architect as appropriate.

Experience required for this role

* Solid commercial experience developing complex websites/systems using Java 7/8

* Full stack development experience (Javascript experience)

* Experience building back end systems using Micro-services

* Experience with Spring

* Experience in continuous integration environments (they use Jenkins)

* Be used to working in an commercial agile environments

* Experience working in TDD environments - bought into the approach

* Experience with HTML, CSS3,

* Confident working with 3rd parties.

* Ability to interpret and negotiate business requirements.

Desirable experience for this role

* Exposure or knowledge of AWS and Docker

* Strong Angular JS Experience

* Experience with concourse Sonar

* Experience using Camel
