A client of mine work across various sectors including Police, Retail, Security, Transport and Local Government. Therefore, this opportunity for a Java Developer gives the opportunity to work on a variation of projects and makes the role both exciting and varied.

Due to rapid company growth, they are looking for experience Java Developers to initially help develop a cutting-edge application for viewing and organising multimedia information. You will be responsible for developing the application as part of a team of developers, taking responsibility for implementing a range of new features, as well as improving the architecture, performance and scalability of the existing product.

Based in the city-centre of Edinburgh, you will be working in one of the most beautiful cities in the UK. Essential skills:

* In-depth knowledge of core Java

* Experience with relational databases

* Experience with complex, high performance, multithreaded, state-driven systems

* Hibernate/JPA or similar ORM technology

* Good understanding of software architecture

* Excellent problem-solving skills

* Strong communication skills to interface with stakeholders and interact in stand-ups
