Linux Systems Administrator, Engineer, MySQL, SaaS, Scripting, AutomationA Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer is required to join a leading Software House based in North Oxfordshire. This is a great chance for an experienced Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer to join an established Software House at an exciting time of change and growth. As the Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer, you will be in a great position to make a real impact on the company and technologies moving forwards! The Role The Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer will be managing a large-scale web application and SaaS platform. You will be working in a cloud environment, so will get exposure to technologies such as AWS, Rackspace and Google Cloud. This is a senior position within the company, so the Linux System Administrator / Engineer will have autonomy over an entire platform and a huge influence on the systems and tools used within the company. The Requirements The right Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer will be established in their field, with strong experience supporting Linux servers such as Red Hat, Centos, Fedora and Ubuntu. You will also ideally be well versed in scripting languages and automation tools, alongside experience with basic networking principles and MySQL Database administration. Previous experience with cloud tech is not necessary, but will obviously set you apart from the crowd if you do have it! Linux - Red Hat, Centos, Fedora, Ubuntu Scripting with Bash, Shell, PHP, or Python Automation tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet Experience administrating MySQL / MariaDB database Basic networking principles Any experience with AWS, Rackspace or Google Cloud would be great, but not needed!
