Java Developer/Bristol/Permanent/RESTful/JEE/SQL/UML/Oracle

Spring Technology is currently recruiting for a Java Developer to work with our client in Bristol. This is a permanent role looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible with notice periods taken into consideration.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of designing and developing software using Java based technologies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on leading edge software technologies in a varied and challenging environment.

The successful candidate will lead a team of Java developers, as well as contributing as a Java developer. The successful candidate will have responsibilities associated with the technical direction and processes for the team.

Essential skills include:

*Extensive experience with JEE.

*RESTful Web services using JAX-RS.

*Maven.

*Oracle Fusion Middleware, including Weblogic and WebCenter.

*Web page development, including JSF, HTML, Javascript, and JQuery.

*SQL.

*Automated software unit and integration testing.

*UML.

*Comfortable working with waterfall and agile approaches to software delivery.

*Extensive experience with the whole development lifecycle.

*Ability to lead and motivate a development team.

*Ability to set the technical direction and focus of a team, to recognise opportunities, and to direct the future strategy in tools, technology, and processes.

*Ability to manage a number of parallel development activities and projects, and to balance priorities.

*Driving licence and access to a car.

*Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance.
