Linux Engineer / Senior Linux Systems Engineer (RedHat / CentOS Scripting Python Bash Perl). Massively profitable, technology driven Hedge Fund is seeking a technologist Linux Engineer to work on a strategic project to move from a predominately Windows infrastructure to a Linux environment.

As a senior Linux Engineer you will be instrumental in driving this change, building high quality trading infrastructure with a focus on automation. You'll interact with varying teams across the business as well as third party vendors. You'll gain exposure to Big Data and automation tools (Ansible, Rundeck) technologies as they are adopted and will be encouraged to innovate.

Requirements:

*Expert level knowledge of Linux OS, principally RedHat Linux / CentOS

*Strong scripting skills (Python, bash, Perl)

*Good understanding of operating systems core principles, performance and tuning

*Basic network protocols (IP, UDP, TCP)

*Proactive, keen technologist

*Excellent communication skills

As a senior Linux Engineer you can expect to earn a highly competitive salary (to £100k, negotiable) plus bonus and benefits package.
