Some of your tasks:

* Hands-on engineering of encoding, decoding, transcoding and transmission video streaming solutions

* Development of prototypes and proof of concepts

* Development of tools for data collection and error analysis

* Performing of integration and load testing

* Make improvements of the existing technology to deliver reliable and flexible service to our internal and external users

* Technical documentation

Your profile:

* BS or MS in CS/CE, electrical engineering, physics or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience

* Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java, Linux networking APIs and JavaScript

* Good knowledge of IP architecture (protocols, multicasting)

We'd love to see:

* First practical experience with Linux Traffic Shaping

* Experience with streaming protocols (RTMP, HDS, HLS, DASH, MPEG, h264, AAC)

* Knowledge of standard software and libraries in the field of video streaming (ffmpeg/libav, live555, libvlc)

* Cross compiling experience for multiple platforms including mobile operating systems iOS, Android and Windows Mobile
