About You

We are looking for a Project Manager with demonstrable experience working in a project delivery role and you will bring a professional practitioner qualification (PRINCE2, APMP, Agile etc), with a sound understanding of project management tools and methodologies, and experience of applying them in practice.

You’ll manage projects and programmes within the UKEF Change Portfolio throughout their lifecycle from identification through to realising the benefits, through effective leadership, shared knowledge and the delivery of agile solutions. You’ll also provide advice and guidance to senior managers and colleagues on managing change effectively for the wider departmental change strategy.

You’ll be a confident leader with the ability to demonstrate experience in delivering complex projects, and the ability to be flexible, resilient and pragmatic in the face of uncertainty and sensitivity.

You’ll be able to expertly manage a number of stakeholders, each bringing different priorities and points of view and you’ll bring practical experience of actively managing the delivery of projects within agreed time, cost and quality constraints.

Crucially, you’ll be adept at managing risks, your team, and the project itself. From project controls to business transformation, you’ll bring all of your expertise into play, ensuring that each project delivers the desired outcomes.

About the Role

Project Manager

This role forms part of the project and programme management function within the UKEF’s Change, Innovation and Delivery Team (CID). CID supports and leads the delivery change projects and programmes across UKEF Change Portfolio.

Aligned to the Change Portfolio and UKEF Business Plan, UKEF have a three-year Digital Transformation Programme (DTP) 2017-20 which aims to make UKEF services and information simpler, clearer and faster thereby improving customer satisfaction and create scalable services able to respond to changes in business volumes. The objective is that staff will be able to work together to support customers in a seamless way by using more efficient and effective systems, data and processes and UKEF will enhance our customer experience by providing improved customer support, proactive customer engagement and relationship management.

DTP Projects include digital services and solutions, such as websites, apps and interfaces between systems; changes to UKEF’s financial services and product offering; development and continuous improvement of operational processes, systems and tools and changes to policy, compliance, operational risk, information management and finance. You’ll also get exposure to UKEF’s Senior Leadership Team and all teams across the department.

Furthermore, the CID team is also undergoing a transformation to the way we deliver and manage projects and the successful candidate would play a key part in this transformation, bringing in new ideas and executing them as part of the team’s development and improvement.
