IT Support Engineer (Windows Microsoft). Technology driven Hedge Fund is seeking a bright, ambitious Windows IT Support Engineer to join their team in Central London. This is a hands-on technical role with great opportunity for development into a specialist IT Systems role.

As a Windows Support Engineer you will join the IT Systems Team and focus on project based work such as installations, upgrades, automated software packaging and deployment; you will work closely alongside senior team members who will be able to help with advice, troubleshooting and training.

The company has very few 'users' and most are developers, researchers or IT literate, so the time spent on 'user' problems is minimal. This means the learning opportunities are huge. This role will suit someone who has a real interest in IT and an aptitude for applying computing concepts and their skills to solve real problems.

Friendly team environment in Central London.

Requirements:

*Strong commercial experience with Windows 7 desktop and Windows 2008 / 2012 Server

*Perl / Powershell scripting skills

*Passion for technology with a real desire to learn and improve

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*Degree educated, 2.1 or above, Computer Science or similar technical discipline preferred
