A Business Analyst (Energy Industry) is required to join an exciting, expanding utilities company in the West Midlands on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will ideally have some experience in the Utilities industry working as a Business Analyst and will offer solutions and improvements to the business through effective collaboration with a variety of business stakeholders, process improvements, process documentation, requirements documentation and more.


* Have a minimum of 2 years' working professionally as a Business Analyst
* Must have strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
* Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders through workshops, 1-2-1s and more
* Previous experience working on business change projects (IT projects would also be good)
* Strong experience in writing business requirements specifications and drawing up process maps (i.e. MS Visio, Aris etc)

Desirable Skills

* Experience working in the Energy Industry would be considered an advantage
* Experience in Billing, Metering, Settlements, Smart Metering all advantageous
* Understanding of project management methodologies e.g. Prince2, Waterfall, Agile (Agile experience is of particular interest)
* Motivated Business Analyst, passionate about the Energy industry

Day to day role:

As a Business Analyst (Energy Industry) you will be assigned a wide range of projects across the business and also possibly across IT. Once assigned a project, you will be responsible for working with the relevant stakeholders to find out specifically what they require and then documenting and delivering these requirements across the business. If the successful Business Analyst (Energy Industry) has Agile experience and has delivered in a fast-paced environment and worked on multiple projects this would be a big advantage. The Business Analyst (Energy Industry) will also be involved with review existing documentation and ensuring they fit in line with the industry change projects, frequently developing technical documentation, engaging various offshore stakeholders including senior developers, as well as hastily addressing any potential problems. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst (Energy Industry) to join a Utility with a lot of momentum and growth.
