SOFTWARE DEVELOPER / C++ / GIT / VISUAL STUDIO / NATO / LONG TERM CONTRACTS / LINUX

RATE: EUR60-68 per Hour

LOCATION: EUROPE

CLEARANCE: SC CLEARED / NATO SECRET

DURATION: 6 - 12 MONTHS

SCOPE OF WORK

My client is soliciting Contractor support to meet demands for specialist technical assistance in the field of Scientific Information Systems which exceed manpower assigned levels and scope.

My client requires a number of Software developers to provide development and maintenance of software in one or more of the following areas:

*algorithms,

*artificial intelligence,

*data analytics,

*data catalogue integration,

*data fusion,

*data services,

*embedded real-time processing,

*network-enabled distributed processing,

*predictive models,

*service oriented architecture,

*scientific computing (MATLAB),

*signal and image processing,

*tactical decision aids,

*web services

QUALIFICATIONS

The Contractor shall provide one or more individual(s) possessing recent and relevant experience of at least three years in the following areas:

*Strong knowledge of the C++ programming knowledge to design, code, test, correct and document large and/or complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result;

*Taking part in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work;

*Documenting the design and implementation using UML-based CASE tools;

*Configuration control (e.g. using Git);

*XML/XSLT/XPath programming knowledge;

*Knowledge of network programming;

*Knowledge of publish-and-subscribe middleware frameworks (e.g. MOOS);

*Experience in the creation of software applications that run on multiple platforms;

*Design and develop C++ classes in the Visual Studio or equivalent development framework;

*Develop fine or coarse-grained COM or COM+ components;

*Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows Operating System;

*Good level of spoken and written English.

DELIVERABLES

As directed by the appointed Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), within scope, contractors shall execute tasks such as the following:

*Object-Oriented Programming, Object-Oriented Design, UML modelling, Test- Driven Development (TDD);

*Integrate real-time data processing software into embedded processing platforms;

*Integrate dedicated sensing, processing and communications hardware into existing software frameworks;

*Support on-going efforts to integrate multiple data sources and processing techniques into the software frameworks developed by the Centre (extension of existing libraries to be used by a broader audience of users and provide greater functionality);

*Integration of software prototypes into Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and interfacing within a Federated Services Framework;

*Profiling of databases (index profiling, analysis of query performance, etc.);

*Documentation of the code.
